Race report by Chris Adams
The 2016 Rumble in the Asphalt Jungle is in the books. A two day event just outside of Austin Texas drew a large crowd of racers to the beautiful new N-Control asphalt track. Due to work and family commitments, I wasn't able to make the first three rounds of qualifying.

Arriving at the track on Sunday, I was confident that my car was prepared well but not expecting to be able to run the times that I was after two short practice runs. After looking at the qualifying order and times, I knew I could be competitive with my current setup with very, very small changes.

The last chance qualifier went off with only one small mistake and I was able to reset the previous day's TQ 2 seconds over second who was also able to leap frog the previous day's TQ. The track was fast!

Going into the main events I knew it was going to be a battle. It had been 2.5 hours since we were last on the track. The hot Texas sun had fully heated up the surface and the cars were going to act a little different.

I got lucky in A1 as the rest of the field got tangled up on lap two giving me a comfortable gap. The car handle the hot track just fine and was consistent enough to not see a major change in lap times from beginning to end.

A2 was much more exciting for everyone. The racing was clean through the field and again, the car was consistent allowing me to open up the lead to 3 seconds and finish with the overall victory.

A big thanks to the NControl guys as well as the racers that continue to support the tracks.
